Mission Statement
The Lawrenceville School is dedicated to ensuring that every student has a meaningful and authentic experience abroad which is tied to our curriculum, service programs or other co-curricular initiatives.
Inherent in such a program is a desire to help make our students more aware of global issues and different cultures, as well as stress the importance of establishing personal connections to others around the world.
The ultimate goal of the international program is to help create more responsible, global citizens through a creative and holistic approach to learning.
Our program website is designed to not only advertise our spring and summer offerings, but also serves as a reference point for trip forms, logistics, and program policies.
Please read important program policies and general information about getting involved.

Summer 2013 Trips
Language Programs
The Language Department believes that a citizen has the responsibility to understand a language other than his or her native tongue. Additionally, it is vital in our world today to learn about other cultures. The two go hand-in-hand of course and that is why we are committed to offering Language Department Programs Abroad to our students. After two years of language study, students may apply to spend a number of weeks living in one of three countries: France, Mexico or China. Students take courses at a Lawrenceville-affiliated institution, and a Lawrenceville faculty member directs the program and teaches courses along with local professors and masters. Students live with host families, participate in local activities, and travel for a period of time in the host country.
