St. George’s University School of Medicine Summer Academy, Grenada

The Med/Vet Summer Academy at St. George's University School of Medicine (Grenada) offers an opportunity of a lifetime for students interested in the fields of medicine or veterinary medicine. Such a program also compliment, and would enhance knowledge and practice for our current student athletic trainers, or those interested in involving themselves in the program, as well as those students enrolled in our physiology course. For more than several years, this exceptional program has balanced a challenging academic program rooted in St. George’s University’s 30 year history with extracurricular activities selected to highlight the culture and innate beauty of Grenada.

Each 10-day pre-medical and pre-veterinary curriculum combines didactic lectures, small-group problem solving sessions, practical lab work in state-of-the art facilities, as well as hands-on training through simulated and real-life situations. The students' experience is further enhanced through several adventurous and educational off-campus excursions including snorkeling, hiking, island touring, and scuba for those who are already certified. Every day has a clinical/lecture component as well as off-campus adventure/cultural activity.
