Step 1: Complete the Inquiry Form
All prospective students who wish to receive the Viewbook, schedule an
interview, receive invitations to events in their home area, and apply to The
Lawrenceville School should first complete our Inquiry
If you are a prospective athlete, please use the Athletic Inquiry Form to tell us more about your athletic experience, but be sure to fill out the general inquiry form first.
Step 2: Schedule a Tour and interview
A formal interview is required for admission to Lawrenceville. We offer
interview appointments from September through January, and recommend your visit
to campus as an important part of getting to feel the warmth and strength of
community that makes Lawrenceville a special place. To schedule your tour

Alumni & Skype Interviews
If you are not able to visit Lawrenceville for a formal interview, you may
refer to our Alumni Interview Network to schedule an interview closer to
home. We also offer interviews via Skype on select dates (please see the above
interview schedule, Skype interviews are listed in red).
Please contact us at email@example.com to notify
us if you have scheduled an Alumni interview, or to schedule an appointment
with an admissions counselor via Skype. Please provide your Skype ID and
preferred dates based on our interview schedule above.
Alumni and Skype interviews for the 2015-16 application year must be
scheduled no later than December 13 and completed by January 16, 2015.
Step 3: Take the appropriate test
Candidates for grades 9 and 10 must take the SSAT (www.ssat.org). It
will be given nationally in November, December, January, and also in February.
The December testing date is preferable. Be sure to list the Lawrenceville code
(4564) when you register for the test. We only accept test scores
directly from SSAT; we do not accept copies from your school or
consultant. To prevent delays be sure to list us as a score recipient
when you register for your test. We will also accept the ISEE in lieu of the

the SSAT, or alternatively PSAT, SAT, ACT taken within the current school

Each year Lawrenceville enrolls new students into the Fifth Form, the
majority of whom are postgraduates. In all cases, those accepted are
candidates for the Lawrenceville diploma and, as such, must meet all of the
School's academic requirements. All candidates must have credit for three
years of math (Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry) and two years of a
foreign language at the high school level. Placement in academic courses
for each Fifth Form is done on the basis of consultations with the Dean of
Studies. In order to be eligible for competition on School athletic teams,
a student may not turn 19 years of age before September.
Step 4: File the Application Online
Lawrenceville accepts two forms of application:
Lawrenceville Online Application: Complete your
entire Lawrenceville application online. Applications for 2015
admission are now being accepted. Online recommendation forms
will be available on September 15.
Standard Application On Line (SAO): Applicants applying to multiple
schools may want to consider applying through the SSAT SAO.
The SAO will open for your use on September 15, 2014. Please
check back then to begin your application.
Additional/Non-Standard Application Materials
We realize that some applicants may wish to submit additional materials that
are not required, such as: additional personal recommendations/letters other
than from your math and English teachers or Principal/Head of School,
photographs, artwork, CD/DVDs or other media, or copies of

other format will not be reviewed as part of the application process.
To submit your materials electronically in PDF format directly to the
Lawrenceville School you may:
- Upload them through your Lawrenceville Application Portal if you are
applying through the Lawrenceville Online Application.
- Email them as PDF files to

Dates to Note
Interview: Completed by December 1 for day students
and January 16 for boarding students.
Application: All written parts of the application
submitted by January 15.
Testing: All testing must be completed by February 1
with the exception of the February administration of the SSAT.
All applicants who meet the deadlines will receive an admission decision on
March 10. Applicants completing the application process after any one of these
deadlines, may receive an admission decision on March 10 or later after the
Admission Committee has reviewed the application.
Admitted students are asked to notify the Admission Office of their decision
by April 10.
Financial Aid Candidates
Please check the financial aid request box on the Inquiry Form. Parents who
will apply for financial aid must complete the Parents’ Financial
Statement (PFS) online at www.nais.org with the School and Student Services (SSS) by
February 1. Be sure to list the Lawrenceville School code
4564. Send a copy of your current Federal Income Tax Return and W-2 Form to SSS
and follow directions listed on the SSS website.
In case of divorce or separation, both parents are required to complete the
Parents' Financial Statement.
