Candidates for admission to The Lawrenceville School should complete the following steps:
Step 1: Complete the online Inquiry Form. Request a Prospectus online with the SSAT Inquiry Form. This link will take you to the SSAT website. Create or use your SSAT Web Login ID to sign in. Your Web Login ID will create an account for you to request a Prospectus, register for the test, and file your Lawrenceville application. The Inquiry Form must be completed prior to scheduling an interview appointment.
Step 2: Schedule a Tour and Interview on campus any time from September to January.
The deadline for scheduling an off campus interview has passed. If distance prohibits you from traveling to the School we will waive the interview requirement. After the admission committee reviews your application, they may contact you for additional information.
Requests must be made prior to December 1 and should be completed by Jan 15. Applicants need to submit an Inquiry Form and part 1 of the on line application before contacting an Alumni interviewer.
If the deadline for scheduling an interview has passed, we will waive the interview requirement. After the admission committee reviews your application, they may contact you for additional information.
Step 3: Take the appropriate test.
Candidates for grades 9 and 10 must take the SSAT (www.ssat.org). It will be given nationally in November, December, January, and also in February. The December testing date is preferable. Be sure to list the Lawrenceville code (4564) when you register for the test. We only accept test scores directly from SSAT; we do not accept copies from your school or consultant. To prevent delays be sure to list us as a score recipient when you register for your test. We will also accept the ISEE in lieu of the SSAT.

Please be sure to complete the Lawrenceville Supplement which is available from the Standard Application Online from the SSAT website. An option to complete the (SAO) will occur when a candidate selects Lawrenceville (school code 4564). Please follow all directions for completing the Standard Application Online from SSAT.
