"Life Dance: A Retrospective" on Display at the Gruss Feb. 7-28

Visitors to Lawrenceville's Gruss Center of Visual Arts will enjoy "Life Dance: A Retrospective" by Geraldine Dodge Foundation Artist Fellow award winner Priscilla Snow Algava, on exhibit February 7-28. All are welcome to attend the exhibition's opening reception in the Center's Marguerite and James Hutchins Gallery on February 7, 6:30 p.m. -8:00 p.m.

The Gruss is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Visitors are also welcome on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The Center is open to the public, free of charge.

Algava, who received a master's degree from DePauw University in 1981, currently teaches at the West Windsor (N.J.) Arts Center and privately in her studio. A teacher for more than three decades, Algava has instructed at DePauw University, Marist College, and high schools in New Jersey and New York. Her art work is represented in many private and public collections in the United States and abroad, including General Electric, Vassar College, and Newark Public Library.

    Jordan Harris '16 came into Lawrenceville as a new Fourth Former, two years later than most of his peers arrived. However, welcomed initially into the Woodhull House, he soon found a community of like-minded, similarly passionate people on the Big Red varsity boys' basketball team. "I love all my teammates here at Lawrenceville; we are all like family," he said.

    Fifth Formers Noah Herington (Bath, N.Y.) and Khedive McIntosh (Jackson, N.J.) signed NCAA National Letters of Intent today, committing to continue their careers as student-athletes at Northern Michigan University and Syracuse University, respectively. Herington will play football (offensive line) and McIntosh will compete in soccer (left wing back/center midfield).
