Music: Day & Night

Lawrenceville is providing the perfect cure today for the winter doldrums: music! All are invited to attend these free concerts.

This marvelous musical day begins with a Midday Music Recital, 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., in the Clark Music Center's Dresdner Hall. Muo Gao '15, Chris Miller '16, Rachel Oh '15, and Neil Menghani '15 will each share their talents.

Dresdner Hall will also host this evening's Winter Allegro Show, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Lawrenceville groups Rouge and VoiceMail are scheduled to perform, along with Neel Ajjarapu '16, Joon Choe '15, Avanthi Cole '14, Madison Daniels '15, Liam Hunt '15, Chudi Ilogu '15, Sahil Kumar '15, Rafiq Majolagbe '15, Sarina Singh '13, Jared Solomon '15, Kelly Zochowski '13, and Kathy Zhang '15. These students will present selections ranging from Franz Schubert to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

    Poetry, economics, computer science, Spanish, volunteerism – Lawrenceville celebrated student achievement in dozens of areas of School life at the annual All-School Prize ceremony. Students were honored on May 25 at the Kirby Arts Center.

  • Big Red Qualifies for New Balance Outdoor Nationals

    Graduation is only days away, but Big Red track will still be running – at the 2016 New Balance Outdoor Nationals! The boys’ 4x200 and shuttle hurdle quartets and the girls’ sprint medley relay and 4x200 teams all earned a spot to compete in the 25th annual Outdoor Nationals, taking place June 16-19 at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, N.C. The Lawrentians qualified thanks to stellar performances at the East Coast Relays on May 23 in Randolph, N.J.

  • Register Today for 14th Annual Adams Golf Tournament to Benefit School Camp

    Golfers: Mark your calendars and get ready to hit the fairways at the 14th Annual James T. Adams '65 Memorial Golf Tournament on Sunday, June 5, at the Lawrenceville School Golf Course. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Lawrenceville School Camp. Lawrenceville alumni and parents are encouraged to join this outing that has become the traditional kick-off to the summer golf season.

  • Robotics Team Wins @ Botball Competition

    A branch of Lawrenceville’s Science and Robotics Club, the Robotics team, led by co-presidents Shrey Chowdhary ’17 and Ricky Williams ’17 and Science and Robotics Club president Neel Ajjarapu ’16, participated in the regional New York/New Jersey Botball competition for its third time, winning both the “Outstanding Documentation” and “Outstanding Overall Design” awards on Saturday, May 14.

    May is a month of celebration at Lawrenceville as the School community recognizes the varied and impressive achievements of its many students. The School recently honored members of the Class of 2016 who will continue their careers as student-athletes next fall at some of the nation's best colleges and universities.
