Glenn Hutchins ’73 Honored for “Breaking Barriers”

Lawrenceville Trustee Emeritus Glenn Hutchins ’73 has been honored with the Breaking Barriers Award by the Reverend Al Sharpton’s National Action Network in recognition of his “significant contributions to the betterment of social justice and human rights.”

Hutchins is co-founder of Silver Lake Partners, a leading private equity firm specializing in technology and technology-enabled companies and is chairman of the National Advisory Board of the W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research at Harvard University. He is also an active and dedicated Lawrentian, a former class agent and co-chair of the recent Bicentennial Campaign. With his wife, Debbie, Glenn has underwritten the Hutchins Scholars Program, which funds advanced laboratory experiences and instruction for Lawrenceville’s most talented science students, including the provision of financial aid.

    Learn gridiron fundamentals from coaches with NFL and college coaching and playing experience at the Lawrenceville School Youth Football Clinic! The Clinic will be held July 16, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on the Lawrenceville School campus. Boys and girls, entering fifth through eighth grades, are eligible to participate - and newcomers to the sport are welcome. Registration before July 1 is $20, $40 after, and includes lunch and a camp t-shirt.
