College Counselor Pens N.Y. Times Column

Lawrentians have had the long enjoyed the benefits of their School's stellar College Counseling department. This week, readers of the New York Times were able to share in that expertise through a column authored by Associate Director of College Counseling Mindy Rose, "February College Checklist for Juniors."

Rose came to Lawrenceville in 2005 from the University of Richmond where she was the Assistant Director of Admissions and the principal reader for Lawrenceville for five years. She is a graduate of Skidmore College, with an M.A. in American Studies from William and Mary. She is an associate duty master and academic advisor in the Stanley House.

  • Oct. 8-Nov. 14: Gruss CVA Presents Works by José Anico

    Lawrenceville’s Gruss Center of Visual Arts (Gruss CVA) will present “The New Landscapes,” a collection of works by José Anico, from Oct. 8-Nov. 12. The exhibit will be on display in the Gruss CVA Hutchins Gallery donated by the Hutchins Family Foundation. An opening reception will be held at the Gruss CVA on Thursday, Oct. 8 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public.

    Jesse Brewer, now a Third Former at Lawrenceville, has been running on her school teams since she was nine years old. She was the number two runner on Lawrenceville’s cross country team last year and is number one this year.

    Kaeli Huesman, a Third Form student from Fair Haven, NJ, came to Lawrenceville last year, and was a tri-varsity athlete, boasting athletic talents in soccer (fall), track (winter), and lacrosse (spring). She is in the midst of her second season on the Big Red girls’ varsity soccer team which is currently 3-5.

    The School will welcome hundreds of current Lawrenceville families back to campus October 23-24 for its annual Parents' Weekend activities. The weekend provides an opportunity to attend parent-teacher conferences, sit in on presentations relevant to Lawrentian life, and watch Lawrenceville student-athletes and student-artists perform.

    Lawrenceville is pleased to present a screening of “The Winter Patriots: the Battles of Trenton and Princeton” on Oct. 29, 7:00 p.m., in in the School’s Woods Memorial Hall Heely Room. No tickets are necessary for this free event, open to the public.
