Winter Gathering at Lawrenceville
Saturday and Sunday, February 4-5, 2012

Come join us for the 2012 Winter Gathering and attend classes with your child, sit in on a master class, and participate in a variety of workshops pertaining to life at Lawrenceville.  Registration will be available online beginning Friday, January 13  and will run through Monday, Januuary 30.  Note: Online registration is REQUIRED if you plan to attend a Master class or other Winter Gathering events.

NOTES

  • Please keep in mind that the Fourth Form parents opening college counseling session will take place on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Important details related to the college search process will be discussed at that meeting.  If you plan to attend, please do not sign up for a master class, which will be held at the same time.
  • Students may leave campus with their parents for a brief winter break immediately following their commitments on Saturday.  Boarders are to return by 7:00 PM on Monday, February 6.  Classes will resume Tuesday morning, February 7.

If you are in town Friday evening, you are invited to attend:

  • A Multicultural Committee Book Discussion – Topic: How stereotypes limit your children’s achievements.  Friday, February 3 at 5:30 p.m. in Foundation House, with a reception immediately following. Join Dr. Kevin Mattingly and Dr. Bill Williams for a book discussion about Whistling Vivaldi: And Other Clues to How Stereotypes Affect Us, by Claude M. Steele.
  • An open music rehearsal from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Clark Music Center.

We suggest that you make a reservation as soon as possible at an area hotel. For your convenience, we have blocked a limited number of rooms at local hotels. Mention Lawrenceville Winter Gathering when you book your room to get the discount.

How To Register

Winter Gathering registration will begin on January 13 and end on January 30. If you have questions, please contact Marge Sciarrotta at (609) 895-2087 or msciarrotta@lawrenceville.org.

Note: Online registration is required if you plan to attend a Master Class or other Winter Gathering events.

On the registration page, please indicate in the box on the right the number of parents attending. Then select a master class, if you are planning to attend one. If the class you select is filled, try another. Following the list of master classes, please indicate how many adults, if any, plan to attend lunch, wine and cheese gatherings, Saturday dinner and Sunday brunch.

  1. On or after January 13, go to www.lawrenceville.org/ParentsNet
  2. Log in to Parents’ Net with your User ID and Password
  3. Under New Announcements, click on “Winter Gathering Registration Now Available” and follow the instructions.

It officially begins!! In this College Counseling kick-off session, the College Counselors will offer an overview of the upcoming college search process, discuss important details and available resources, distribute information, and explain the Winter Gathering programming.
