Alumni Awards Ceremony Recognizes Alumni and Former Faculty

One of the highlights of Alumni Reunion Weekend is the Alumni Awards Ceremony, where alumni are recognized for exceptional volunteerism on behalf of Lawrenceville, new Selectors and a new Alumni Trustee are announced, and the Harkness Award is presented to a former faculty member for outstanding classroom teaching during their Lawrenceville tenure.

Ask girls’ varsity lacrosse offensive player Allegra Alexander ’27 what it feels like to stay after practice and shoot on her own, and she doesn’t hesitate. “There’s nothing better than hearing the sound of a ball ping the back of the net,” she said. “I can just turn my mind off, let go, and do whatever feels right in the moment. It’s freeing.”

High school is exactly the right time to start thinking about your future work life, and thanks to a School-wide partnership of students, faculty, and administrators, together with the Office of Alumni and Development, Lawrenceville’s second annual Career Day brought more than 70 alumni representing nearly 50 different careers to campus to share their career advice and insights.

Valedictorian Gloria Yu '26

After receiving their diplomas on Sunday, May 24, members of the Class of 2026 heard a Commencement address from Valedictorian Gloria Yu ’26, who reflected on the value of a Lawrenceville School education and encouraged classmates to embrace uncertainty and remain open to the possibilities that lie ahead.

Fifth Form Prize Ceremony Kingsley Du '26

Lawrenceville recognized members of the Fifth Form during the annual Prize Ceremony in Kirby Arts Center on May 23, honoring achievement in academics, arts, athletics, leadership, and community life. The ceremony celebrated both public accomplishment and the subtle qualities that shape daily life at the School, including curiosity, perseverance, sportsmanship, and a love of learning.
