Class Agents serve as ambassadors for the School and are critical to Lawrenceville's fundraising success. Class Agents should believe in philanthropy and have a history of giving to Lawrenceville, or a desire to begin giving annually. They should have enthusiasm for the School, and furthering Lawrenceville's mission. Additionally, all Class Agents should feel comfortable engaging with and soliciting classmates for gifts to The Lawrenceville Fund (TLF), Lawrenceville's annual fund.

Class Secretaries act as a liaison between the School and their classmates. They are essential communicators of information between the School and their peers, and will be responsible for providing all class updates to The Lawrentian.

The Lawrenceville Alumni Association is governed by an Executive Committee which includes a president, two vice presidents, nine appointed members, and a faculty representative. Ex-officio members include representatives from each of the regional alumni clubs, the Young Alumni Council, alumni trustees, the Head of School, the president of the Board, and the chairs of The Lawrenceville Fund. The Executive Committee selects recipients for the Distinguished Alumnus Award, The Lawrenceville Medal (aka Aldo Leopold Award), and the Alumni Distinguished Teaching Award. The Committee also annually selects an alum to serve a four-year term on the Board of Trustees.

 

The Executive Committee shall: 1) Advance the purpose and goals of the Association; 2) Consider any matter that may be brought to its attention by the Board of Trustees of the School or the Head of School, and when requested, give its opinion thereon in writing; 3) Propose amendments to the Association's Constitution and revise the Bylaws, as necessary; 4) Oversee the activities of the various committees of the Executive Committee [Refer to Section V of the Bylaws for a description of the committees and their respective responsibilities]; 5) Review and vote upon proposed officer slates (as generated by the Nominating Committee) prior to voting by the Association; 6) Vote upon proposed candidates (as generated by the Nominating Committee) for election as Selector; 7) Vote upon proposed candidates (as generated by the Nominating Committee) for the Distinguished Alumnus Award, The Lawrenceville Medal (Aldo Leopold Award) and the Alumni Distinguished Teaching Award.

Reunion Volunteers make Alumni Weekend possible! It is also a special way to show your Big Red pride and create a memorable experience for your class. The main responsibility of a Reunion Volunteer is to assist your class in achieving its Reunion attendance and giving goals.

Members of the Young Alumni Committee belong to the 15 youngest classes. These active alumni are responsible for YA programing, keynote speakers, engagement, and communication. The term length for a YA Committee member is two years.
