Lawrenceville Ice Hockey Tournament Begins December 20

Drop the puck! It’s time for the 76th annual Lawrenceville Invitational Boys’ Ice Hockey Tournament!

Eight of the best high school boys’ ice hockey teams in the northeastern U.S. and Canada will face off December 20-22 in the oldest prep school tournament in North America. Games will take place at the School's ice rink in the Tsai Field House (2500 Main Street, Lawrenceville, N.J.) and at Princeton University’s Hobey Baker Memorial Rink (200 Elm Drive, Princeton, N.J.)

Big Red will skate in this two division, round-robin tournament against squads from Belmont Hill, Choate Rosemary Hall, Elite Hockey Academy, Nichols School, Stanstead College, Taft School, and Upper Canada College (Toronto, Ontario, Canada).

Schonheiter Division: Lawrenceville, Nichols, Belmont Hill, Elite Academy

 

Friday, December 20

Game 1, 9 a.m.: Elite vs. Belmont Hill

Game 2, 11 a.m. Lawrenceville vs. Nichols

Game 3, 2 p.m., Taft vs. Upper Canada College

Game 4, 4 p.m., Stanstead vs. Choate

Saturday, December 21

Game 5, 9: 30 a.m.: Choate vs. Taft

Game 6, 9:30 a.m., Upper Canada College vs. Stanstead (Baker)

Game 7, 11:30 a.m., Elite Academy vs. Lawrenceville

Game 8, 11:30 a.m., Belmont Hill vs. Nichols (Baker)

Game 9, 2:30 p.m., Stanstead vs. Taft

Game 10, 4:30 p.m., Choate vs. United Canada College

Game 11, 6:30 p.m., Lawrenceville vs. Belmont Hill

Game 12, 8:30 p.m., Nichols vs. Elite

Sunday, December 22

Game 13, 8 a.m., 4th vs. 4th

Game 14, 10 a.m. , 3rd vs. 3rd

Game 15, 12 p.m., 2nd vs 2nd

Game 16, 2:15 p.m., 1st vs. 1st

All games are open to the public. Tickets are available at the rinks -- $10 for the entire tournament, $5 for day passes. Lawrenceville students can attend for free. Can’t make it to the rinks? Stream the games on LocalLive.
