School Magazine Wins Two CASE Circle of Excellence Awards

The Lawrentian, The Lawrenceville School magazine, won two golds in the annual Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Circle of Excellence Awards competition. This was from among 4,460 global entries, and a total of 477 winners were carefully selected by a panel of 525 volunteer judges.

The Lawrentian received gold in the category of Magazines -- Alumni/General Interest (Independent and International Schools), where it shared top honors with the Williston Northampton Bulletin and the Sidwell Friends School Magazine.

The publication also won gold in the Magazines -- Publishing Improvement category, the only independent school magazine to earn recognition at any level in this division. The Lawrentian shared gold with Northwestern University's Kellogg Magazine and South Magazine from the University of South Alabama. This recognition follows the publication’s cover-to-cover redesign that debuted with the spring 2024 issue.

Sean Ramsden, editor of The Lawrentian, lauded his colleagues in Lawrenceville’s Communications Office, for their contributions to the magazine, saying, “You all have had a hand and continue to play a role in this process, so this is a reflection of your efforts, too -- and for that, I couldn't be more appreciative. Let's do it again next year!”
