Congratulations to the 2021 Aldo Leopold Scholars

Lawrenceville is pleased to announce the 2020-21 Leopold Scholars, a program named in honor of renowned environmentalist Aldo Leopold, Lawrenceville Class of 1905.

Congratulations to Scholars Ben Cavanagh '23, Alexis Gonzalez '22, Nushana Huq '23, Lauren Kim '22, Jack Mahoney '23, Mustafe Osman '22, Maddie Rygh '23, and Lily Schweinfurth '22.

The Scholars will be doing interdisciplinary work this summer, reading Leopold’s “A Sand County Almanac,” conducting water quality testing in partnership with The Watershed Institute in Hopewell, developing skills in nature observation and nature writing, and practicing mindfulness in nature. They will also commit to participating in the sustainability council or related independent work in the upcoming academic year.
