Feb. 21: Black History Month Poetry Reading

Amanda Gorman enchanted the world with her performance of "The Hill We Climb" at the 2021 U.S. Presidential inauguration but there are dozens of incredible, influential Black poets who are writing to the world of today.

In a Sunday, Feb. 21, Zoom meeting, Lawrentians will recite their poetry, or a poem by Joshua Bennett, Jericho Brown, Donte Collins, Staceyann Chin, Toi Dericotte, LaTasha N. Nevada Diggs, Camille Dungy, Camonghne Felix, Ross Gay, Aricelis Girmay, Cecil Giscombe, Alexis Pauline Gumbs, Kara Jackson, Major Jackson, Honorée Fanonne Jeffers, Jasmine Mans, Aja Monet, Thylias Moss, Claudia Rankine, Nicole Sealey, Danez Smith, Tracy K. Smith, or Frank X Walker.
