The School has expanded its usual MLK Day of Service to four days this year, allowing students to better understand who they are serving and why. The celebration began on Jan. 13 with a Zoom lecture by Xiomara Hall ‘92, who shared words of reflection both on current events and King’s legacy of hope. Watch Hall’s talk here. Additional sessions will be held in February and March. In 2021, students will concentrate their service efforts in one of eight areas of their choosing: education, poverty, hunger, social justice, environment, senior citizens, public health, and special needs.
