Lawrenceville School Celebrates Veterans Day

Today, Lawrenceville honors all veterans, particularly the 143 alumni who made the ultimate sacrifice as members of the U.S. Armed Services during World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

This evening, the Lawrenceville Veterans Alumni Association (LVets) will gather virtually to toast the Armed Forces, with special guests Lieutenant Colonel Erhan Bedestani ’98 and Colonel Jenness Steele ’91. This virtual program will be hosted on a platform that will allow guests to engage in a custom Lawrenceville virtual world. Event guests will be able to speak 1:1, in small groups, listen to music, and congregate for the keynote speech and a question and answer session.

Veterans Day celebrations will continue tomorrow with an all-School meeting talk by History and Economics teacher Regan Kerney, who will discuss his time in the U.S. Air Force and the importance of service.

Many members of the Lawrenceville School community, including alumni and employees, have served in the U.S. military, including in theaters of war. We thank them all for their service.
