Lawrenceville Marks 30 Years of Support of the Lawrence Township Education Foundation

The Lawrenceville School recently presented the Lawrence Township Education Foundation (LTEF) with $85,000 in annual support of the organization, continuing the School’s longstanding role as LTEF’s largest single donor. The partnership dates to 1996, with Lawrenceville contributing nearly $2 million to LTEF over the past 30 years. Head of School Steve Murray presented the check to Bonne Giglio (LTEF executive director), Andrew Tunnard (president of the LTEF Board), and Kimberly Gelb (vice president of the LTEF Board.)

“Lawrenceville and the Lawrence Township public schools share a commitment to giving young people the strongest possible educational experience,” Murray said. “Our support of LTEF is an investment in the students and educators of our community, and we are proud to continue a partnership that has made a meaningful difference for three decades.”

Giglio said, “We are extremely grateful for our partnership with The Lawrenceville School. Their annual contributions allow us to achieve our mission to enhance the educational experience for all Lawrence Township public school students.”

In the 2025-26 academic year, LTEF awarded more than $82,000 in grants to support 52 new programs across Lawrence Township’s seven public schools. The programs span literacy, equity, music, art, humanities, STEM, character education, and other areas. Recent significant investments have included: space immersive learning stations for authentic STEM experiences, upgrades to the physical education room and expanded offerings at the high school, to new books, flexible seating, upgrades and investments to technology equipment and engaging assemblies at all 7 schools in Lawrence Township.

LTEF was created as a bridge between the Lawrence Township community and its public schools, encouraging private philanthropy to enhance public education for all students. Its mission is to foster educational excellence, creativity, and achievement in Lawrence Township Public Schools. Over the past 34 years, LTEF has put nearly $4.7 million to work in the schools, funding more than 1,150 grants. Its grants focus on four main areas: STEM training and programming; classroom technology and resources; equity and inclusion; and arts and cultural enrichment. Grants range from a few hundred dollars to $100,000.
