Lawrentians Run in Memory of Sammy Bhatia ‘15

Members of the School community, including a cohort from the boys’ varsity cross country team, ran the HiTops Princeton Half Marathon on November 10 in remembrance of Sammy Bhatia ’15. Bhatia, who passed away in 2023, was editor-in-chief of The Lawrence, resided in Griswold House, and was a member of both the boys’ varsity tennis team and of the jazz ensemble.

Lawrentians running in honor of Bhatia included Willem Anton ’26, Hazel Baldwin-Kress (history teacher), Sophie Bilanin ’26, Darshan Chidambaram ’28, Haldora Churchill ’27, Catherine Eldridge P’25, Owen Eldridge ’25 (who placed fourth overall), Ella Fessler ’25, Matthew Fu ’27, Graciela Goldman ’26, Jamie Ho ’27, Tobias Hou ’26, Christina Hughes (faculty spouse), Nathanael Mayer ’27, Nicholas Montenecourt ’26, Sienna Mora’25, Laura Noboa-Berman (history teacher), and Victoria Slavov ’26.
