Kirby House Wins Trashion Show

Pack up your shoes, Christian Louboutin. Put those Oscar-nominated costumes back in the warehouse, Ruth E. Carter. Lawrenceville’s fashion designers have got you beat with clothing that’s both gorgeous and sustainable.
Eco-creativity was on display at the School’s 13th annual Trashion Show on Feb. 14. Students competed by House to create the most incredible “looks,” each completely fashioned from recycled materials. Picking a winner was difficult, but faculty judges Emilie Kosoff, Jason Larson, and Noelle Niu chose Kirby House’s creation as the best of the day.
The Trashion Show is part of Lawrenceville’s annual Sustainuary celebration, a month-long effort to raise awareness about environmental sustainability.
