Lawrenceville girls finished first and the boys second at the 2019 Prep Fencing Championships, held Feb. 13 at The Hun School.
The Big Red girls placed first in team epee, led by Karina Leung’s ‘19 top individual win in the event. They also were number one in team foil – Katelyn Ge ’21 was Lawrenceville’s best individual finisher at third. The sabre squad placed fifth overall.
Foil was the premier event for the boys. They placed first as a team, led by individual event winner David Prilutsky ‘21. Big Red was second in epee - Jasper Zhu ’21 was Lawrenceville’s best individual in the event at second. Jamie Ren ’19 placed first in individual sabre and, as a team, Lawrenceville finished third in the event.
