Big Honors for Big Red Ice Hockey

Player of the Year! Goalie of the Year! Coach of the Year! The season’s over, but the honors keep rolling in for the Big Red boys’ varsity ice hockey team.
The Trentonian has selected Nikita Nesterenko ’20 as this year’s Prep Boys’ Ice Hockey Player of the Year. The Fourth Former scored 25 goals and assisted on 25 others in 2019. The paper named T.J. Semptimphelter ’20 as its Prep Goalie of the Year, noting, “[Semptimphelter’s] presence between the pipes was both comforting and a spark for the Big Red attack.”
For his “calm demeanor and willingness to teach the game,” Keith Dupee has been lauded as The Trentonian’s Prep Boys’ Ice Hockey Coach of the Year. “Big Red took a huge step forward this season, and a good part of it was the leadership provided by Dupee,” according to The Trentonian.
Fourth Form forwards Trey Croddick and Matt Manahan join Nesterenko and Semptimphelter on The Trentonian Prep Boys' Ice Hockey First team, along with defenseman David Parker ’19. Lach Getz ‘20, Peter Poulianas ‘21, and Mike Rocco ’20 each received honorable mentions.
