5 Questions 4: Cate Levy ‘20

What author is Fourth Former Lawrenceville Merrill Scholar Cate Levy most excited about researching this summer? What’s the best part of being a Big Red rower? And what was that song she just was singing? Find out this and more in 5 Questions 4.
You are one of Lawrenceville’s first Merrill Scholars. What author or authors do you look forward to researching through Princeton University’s Special Collections?
I’m most excited to research F. Scott Fitzgerald! They have a HUGE collection of his work at the Princeton library, and the Great Gatsby is my favorite book, so that’s a happy coincidence.
What do you love about rowing?
I love rowing because it helps me embrace my strength. I feel so powerful when I row. I also like not having to think too hard (unlike the rest of my day), and have my coxswain give me instructions.
What living person do you most admire?
I probably admire my mom the most of anyone. She’s really strong. I also think Ruth Bader Ginsburg is the greatest.
What has been your favorite Lawrenceville class thus far?
Thus far, my favorite class at Lawrenceville has probably been “The Novel” with Mr. [Champ] Atlee. He picked fantastic books for us to read and he is an amazing teacher.
What was the last song you sung along to?
