Kate Monihan & Nikita Nesterenko Named to USA Today ALL-USA Hockey Teams
Congratulations to Kate Monihan ’19 and Nikita Nesterenko ’20, selected to the USA Today ALL-USA Girls’ and Boys’ (respectively) Hockey Third Teams. This national honor is awarded on past performance, level of competition and strength of schedule. Monihan, who plays defense, will attend Princeton next year; Nesterenko, a forward, is heading to Brown.
Nicole Uliasz, head coach of the Big Red girls’ varsity ice hockey team said, “I'm so proud Kate has been honored by USA Today Sports. Kate is one of the most deserving players both on and off the ice through her tremendous work ethic and her leadership she has displayed throughout her four years at Lawrenceville.”
Head Coach of the boys’ varsity ice hockey team, Keith Dupee, stated, "What a tremendous honor it is for Nikita to be recognized on a national level. He has grown so much during his time at Lawrenceville, both on and off the ice, and he is very deserving. He has worked hard fine-tuning his craft since the day he stepped on campus, and his teammates have pushed him to be the best teammate and player that he can be and this is the result. We are very proud of him."
