Register today for the 16th annual Big Red Race, to be held on campus this Sunday, May 5. All proceeds from the race go directly to support Lawrence Township children who have been selected to attend the School Camp (in Warren County, N.J.), a summer camp serving underprivileged youth for over 100 years.
The starting gun for the adult five-kilometer course will fire at 10:15 a.m., rain or shine. Races, ranging from 25 meters to a half mile, will be available for kids, ages 3-11, starting at 9:00 a.m.
There is a $25 non-refundable entry fee for adults; $30 on race day. The non-refundable entry fee for runners ages 12-17 is $10; $15 on race day. All runners are encouraged to bring canned, non-perishable food items for the Big Red Food Drive.
Though the children’s race is free, participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation of canned goods in place of the $5.00 entry fee. All children’s race participants receive a finisher’s medal and t-shirt.
Tickets for the Big Red Raffle will also be on sale. A host of awards are up for grabs, including a special treat for the Lawrence Township family with the most participants in the Adult 5K and Kid's Race. Current School community members can buy tickets for a host of “experiences,” ranging from a pipe organ lesson with Jon D’Souza ’20 to a family portrait by School Photographer Paloma Torres, to taking over from Steve Murray and serving as Lawrenceville Head Master for a day!
