By the Numbers: This Year in Community Service

It’s been another incREDible year of Lawrentian community service. Led by Rachel Cantlay (Community Service Program Director), Elizabeth Ferguson (Community Service Program Associate Director), and Dev Chhokra ’19 (Student Council Community Service Representative), students have made a difference near and far. It’s impossible to quantify the true impact of their work, but here are a few numbers that begin to tell the 2018-19 story.  
411 weekly projects were completed at 20+ organizations
50+ one time events were held
100+ blankets were made for Colin’s Kids
1 mural painted at Morris Hall with the help of senior citizens
235 Lawrentians participated in Lawrenceville’s annual Halloween Party
$26,345 was raised for St. Baldrick’s
$3,889 was raised for the Williams Syndrome Association
$1,100+ was raised for Lawrenceville School Camp by the Woodhull House
$400+ was raised for Womanspace by the Stanley House
$416 was raised for hurricane relief efforts, together by the Stanley House and International Baking Club
$2,000+ was raised for SEGA by the McClellan House
$600+ was raised for the JED Foundation and suicide prevention awareness
$500 was raised for girl’s education in Swat, Pakistan
