5 Questions 4: Dami Kim ‘20

Can a really hard class become your favorite? What questions should a prospective student ask his/her tour guide? Find out this and more in 5 Questions 4.
What should every prospective student ask his/her tour guide?
Something you can't find on the website! For example, ask us about House spirit, food, or even what you should bring that's not on the packing list! You should also definitely ask about the unique aspects of the school, like a particularly popular course or tradition.
What has been your favorite Lawrenceville class thus far?
Honors Music Theory. I'm a musician, but I was really terrible at music theory. I struggled a lot, but it was so rewarding to find myself actually understanding and applying the material when playing!
If stranded on the proverbial desert island, what book would you want to have with you?
Kurt Vonnegut's “Welcome to the Monkey House.” It's a really enjoyable read, but all the stories in it are also extremely thought-provoking and relevant to the modern reader.
Which three people, no longer living, would you most like to meet?
Pavarotti, Napoleon, Monet
What artist or band do you always recommend when someone asks for a music recommendation?
Tony Bennett. He's an amazing artist, and his voice and songs are so soothing and timeless!
