Lawrenceville Announces Additional Fall Re-Opening Plan Details
Today, Head of School Steve Murray announced additional details concerning Lawrenceville’s fall 2020 Reopening Plan.
“We are eagerly awaiting our return to campus this fall and coming back together as a community. We have missed seeing Lawrentians toss frisbees in the Bowl, study over coffee in the Bath House, and support their fellow students as they engage in new challenges,” he said. “While the global pandemic has altered the way we will deliver the Lawrenceville experience this year, our commitment to Harkness, House, and heart remains steadfast.”
Lawrenceville still plans to reopen in person this fall, and has made significant investments to ensure this experience for families. Key elements of Lawrenceville’s reopening strategy include infrastructure enhancements with regard to advanced air handling, additional beds in the Health and Wellness Center, touchless sinks and toilets, and more; ongoing periodic surveillance testing and daily symptom tracking; de-densification of classrooms and residence halls; social-emotional support for our students; and a Best for All Agreement with community expectations for mask wearing, social distancing, hand washing, and other healthy practices.
Through House and Harkness, Lawrenceville challenges a diverse community of promising young people to lead lives of learning, integrity, and high purpose. Our mission is to inspire the best in each to seek the best for all.
