Seeing is Believing

In the words of Head Master Steve Murray, “at the heart of Lawrenceville is the belief that our students dig deeper, reach higher, and stretch further when they feel the embrace of supportive peers and the mentorship of caring adults who know when and how to challenge them.” Of course, seeing is believing. So come visit campus, walk the pathways with us, and start feeling the Lawrenceville Effect for yourself!
Before scheduling your campus visit, please make sure you have completed our Inquiry Form, Arts Inquiry Form, and Athletic Inquiry Form so we can be prepared to assist you. To schedule your campus visit, please call 1-800-735-2030 or (609) 895-2030 or admission@lawrenceville.org. Please note the hours we are available for phone calls are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and Wednesday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Our campus tours last about 45 minutes and are done on foot. If you or anyone in your party has mobility needs, please let us know.

What to Expect When You Visit

There is significant construction on campus as we create the new Gruss Center for Art and Design, scheduled to open January 2020. When you arrive on campus, please enter through the Main Gate, remaining on The Circle before turning at the chapel where you will see signs for the Admission Office. When you arrive at The Bowl, signs will direct you toward Admission Parking. As we undergo this exciting campus project, please do allow a bit of extra time as you plan your travels.

Make your way into the Mackenzie Admission Rotunda where you will meet Mrs. MacKinnon—she’ll introduce you to your student tour guide and any other student or parent ambassadors present that day. Your campus tour will last about an hour. You will also have the opportunity to visit with some of our current parents who volunteer in the Admission Office during interview season (September-January).

Our campus is beautiful with many exciting things to see; dress comfortably with this in mind. If you are interested in speaking with a member of our community about a specific interest (e.g., an athletic coach), please inform us when you call to arrange your visit and we will do our best to accommodate you. However, please know that our coaches are teachers first with demanding schedules, so they are not always able to meet.

If you visit during interview season, which runs from September to January, you will meet with an admission counselor. The goal of this conversation is to get to know you. We will ask about academic interests, extracurricular pursuits, community service involvement or anything else that makes you—YOU. We will also sit down with your parents and answer any questions they may have. Allow yourselves about two hours for the whole visit.

Come prepared with questions. As you look through our website or viewbookwhat are you interested in learning more about? Your tour guide or admission counselor will be happy to answer all of your questions. We can’t wait to meet you!
