Graduation Weekend for the Class of 2019

Thursday, May 30
  • 5:00 p.m. – Pre-prom gala in Kirby Arts Center (parents are welcome to attend).
  • 6:30 p.m. – Buses depart campus for senior prom (returning around 3:00 a.m. the next morning).
  • Prom guests return about 3:00 a.m. and go to bed; day students picked up on campus by parents.
Friday, May 31
  • 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Fifth Form brunch in Abbott Dining Hall.
  • 1:30-2:15 p.m. – Baccalaureate rehearsal in Chapel.
  • Dinner is available for Vth formers on campus. If families wish to dine with their students they should do so in local restaurants.
Saturday, June 1
  • 12:30 p.m. – Individual Prom photos available in the McGraw Reading Room, Bunn Library.
  • 2:30 p.m. – Fifth Form Prize ceremony for all graduates and guests in Kirby Arts Center.
  • 3:30 p.m. – Tea reception for seniors and families under the trees between Hogate and KAC. Rain location in Kirby Arts Center.
  • 5:00 p.m. – Baccalaureate service at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel for graduates, faculty and staff. Parents are invited to watch a simulcast of the service in Kirby Arts Center.
  • 6:00 p.m. – Dinner in Irwin for families (this is optional - families may dine off-campus).
Sunday, June 2
  • 7:00 a.m. – Breakfast available in Irwin.
  • 8:00 a.m. – Graduation rehearsal in the Bowl (Field House in case of rain).
  • 9:30 a.m. – Presentation of Roses to graduates on Kirby Math & Science Patio (inside in case of rain).
  • 10:00 a.m. – Line up for Commencement outside the Bowl (Field House in case of rain)
  • 10:30 a.m. – Commencement ceremony begins.
  • 12:00-1:30 p.m. – Post Commencement light lunch for graduates, families, and faculty between Hogate and KAC. Rain location in Irwin Dining Center.
