The Lawrenceville Parents Fund

The Lawrenceville Parents Fund, the annual giving campaign, concluded the 2017-18 campaign on June 30, 2018 on a very high note!  615 current parents, past parents and grandparents gave $1,911,368, the second largest total ever for The Lawrenceville Parents Fund.  Each and every gift makes an important difference in the experience of the students at Lawrenceville today.

Thanks to the generosity from these families, the School was able to strengthen its core programs, meet unexpected needs and embrace new opportunities while maintaining important Lawrenceville traditions: Harkness teaching and the House system.

The Lawrenceville Parents Fund (TLPF) regularly accounts for approximately one-quarter of the money raised by The Lawrenceville Fund (TLF) and is charged with raising unrestricted gifts from current parents, parents of alumni and grandparents. The Parents Fund, chaired by
Danielle Bentsen P'17 '20 '21, Fidelma Woodley P'13 '14 '20 and Mark Thierfelder P'19 '22, is consistently successful thanks to its many dedicated volunteers.

For more information about the many ways to participate in the life of the School, please read through our guide for Lawrenceville parents, Opportunities to Give and Get Involved.

GOALS FOR 2018-2019

  • $2.1 million raised from current parents, parents of alumni and grandparents
  • 730 gifts from current parents, parents of alumni and grandparents
Please join your fellow Lawrenceville parents in making a gift to the Parents Fund. Your gift assists the School by producing vital support for the current operation of the School. That support provides Lawrenceville with the resources necessary to fund critical attributes – scholarship support, a low student/faculty ratio, exceptional student activities, and first-rate facilities – as well as to sustain important Lawrenceville traditions, such as Harkness teaching and the residential House system.

Pledges are welcome, but must be honored by June 30, 2019 when the Parents Fund fiscal year ends. Remember that your gift can be doubled if you or your spouse is associated with a company or foundation that matches gifts to secondary schools.
