Celebrating the Class of 2020

After careful consideration, in order to protect the safety of our community and in keeping with current federal, state, and local regulations, all of our usual end-of-year celebrations, including Commencement, will be virtual.

We have created a dedicated website at classof2020.lawrenceville.org with full details to all our virtual Class of 2020 celebration events:

  • May 23: Pinning Ceremony and Faculty Speaker
  • May 30: Fifth Form Prize Ceremony and Baccalaureate
  • May 30: Aurelian Speaker and Fifth Form Meeting
  • May 31: Conferring of Diplomas and Valedictory Address

The May 23, May 30, and May 31 events will be a mix of live and recorded features. Our virtual Commencement will stream pre-recorded and live speeches to graduates and their families, personally recognize each graduate and their achievements, and provide a platform for graduates to engage in communal moments through the webcast or social media.

Even as we implement these plans,
we are thinking about ways we can celebrate the Class of 2020 in person when conditions allow.

Through House and Harkness, Lawrenceville challenges a diverse community of promising young people to lead lives of learning, integrity, and high purpose.  Our mission is to inspire the best in each to seek the best for all.
