Lawrenceville Summer Scholars is a boarding school experience for students during the summer! Both Day and Residential Scholars take part in Lawrenceville’s House system (living with other students and supervising adults) and, in the classroom, they experience Harkness pedagogy, learning in powerful new ways and engaging in active inquiry. Lawrenceville Summer Scholars develops independence and produces innovative leaders and a sense of community responsibility. Balancing class time, group activities, and outdoor fun, Scholars will think critically, problem-solve, collaborate, socialize, and discover what they love about learning.
Summer Scholars' limited enrollment classes are small, and this low student-to-teacher ratio ensures that each scholar receives the individual attention they deserve to flourish in a safe and supportive environment. The faculty encourages scholars to learn and grow, to trust in their abilities, and to believe in themselves so that all reach their fullest potential.
All of our English classes feature close reading of literature, development of writing skills, and vocabulary and grammar lessons. Our STEAM classes focus on real-life applications of skills. Our many classes include Sports and Literature, Forensics, SSAT Prep (Math and English), Speech and Debate, Coding, and Robotics.
