Stefanie Harrison joined the Lawrenceville community in 2016 serving as the girls’ varsity swimming coach. She added the boys’ varsity swimming program in 2017 and now serves as the program coordinator for the combined swimming and diving programs. Before coming to Lawrenceville, Harrison coached summer league swimming for 18 years, and high school swimming for 10 years as well as club teams in the area. As an athlete, Harrison was a four year swimming letter winner at Princeton University, serving as a captain her senior year. Additionally she was named an All-American each of her four seasons. Harrison brings a strong coaching philosophy to the swim program noting, “my goal is to help all athletes improve to the best of their ability. Additionally, I hope to teach my athletes how to be part of a team, be kind to their teammates and competitors, and push themselves beyond what they thought they could do.” Harrison also coaches the girls’ water polo program in the fall. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Harrison teaches mathematics and advises in Hamill.
Through House and Harkness, Lawrenceville challenges a diverse community of promising young people to lead lives of learning, integrity, and high purpose. Our mission is to inspire the best in each to seek the best for all.
